GoButtons

What it costs

One subscription, one invoice, one renewal date. You pay for the devices with buttons on them and the people who answer — nothing else, and never per press.

The devices are phones and tablets you already own. GoButtons is software; nothing physical is sold or shipped.

Free for two weeks — and no card to start.

The plan, and the two things you can add to it

GoButtons

$9.99 a month

One station, and one person besides you.

  • $2.99 a month each

    Extra station

One more device with the buttons on it.

  • $4.99 a month each

    Extra person

One more person who gets the presses and can reply.

You are not one of the people you pay for. The account is yours, and the price is for everyone else who needs to get the presses.

What that adds up to

Three ordinary setups, with the sums shown. Yours is whatever mix of devices and people you need — these are not packages to choose between.

  • One person at home, one relative nearby

1 station, and 1 person besides you

Prices are in US dollars and do not include tax. Paddle, who take the payment, add whatever tax applies where you live at the checkout — so the figure you are charged may be a little higher than the figure above.

The first two weeks are free, and there is no card to enter

You get two weeks to set it up and see whether it works for you, and GoButtons does not ask for a card to start. Nothing is charged during the trial, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to get back — if you decide against it, do nothing and it ends.

There is no free tier after that. GoButtons is a paid product, and the reason is in the next section: the thing that keeps working when you stop paying is not a free plan we could take away.

If payment stops, the buttons do not

Whether you cancel, the trial runs out, or a card simply expires: every station you have set up keeps working, and nobody is removed. Each station falls back to a single I need help button, and pressing it still reaches you exactly as it did before.

What lapses is the paid capacity — the extra stations, the extra people, and the choice of several buttons per station. What does not lapse is somebody's way of asking for help. The person holding the buttons is usually not the person holding the card, and they should never be the one who finds out it expired.

Cancelling and refunds are covered properly on the Refund Policy.

The small print, in normal size

One subscription
Stations and people are added to the same subscription, so it stays one invoice with one renewal date, whatever you are running.
Monthly, and you can stop
Billing is monthly. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep what you are paying for until that month runs out.
Up to 100 extra of each
The checkout handles up to 100 extra stations and 100 extra people. If you need more than that, write to us — at that size it should be a conversation rather than a form.
Nothing costs per press
Presses, replies and notifications are not metered and never will be. A product somebody uses to ask for help must not make them wonder what a press costs.

You cannot buy this yet

The prices above are real — they are what the checkout will charge — but the checkout is not open, and GoButtons is not in the app stores. It is being tested on real devices, and iOS builds go to a small group through TestFlight.

So there is deliberately no button here. When there is something to press, this page will say so.

If you want to know when that is, write to hello@gobuttons.app. It reaches a person, not a mailing list — there is nothing to sign up for, and nothing to unsubscribe from.
