GoButtons

Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and us. They are written to be read, so the important parts are in plain words and near the top.

In effect from 27 August 2026.

Who you are agreeing with

GoButtons is operated by Eventually Right LLC. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Eventually Right LLC, and “you” means the person who creates an account.

You can reach us at hello@gobuttons.app. That address reaches a person.

GoButtons is not an emergency service

Do not rely on GoButtons in an emergency. It does not contact the emergency services, a doctor, a nurse, an alarm centre or anyone who is not already a person you set up yourself. If someone needs urgent help, call your local emergency number.

GoButtons sends a message to people you choose, on devices they already own. Whether that message arrives, and how quickly, depends on things outside our control: the phone network, the internet connection, Apple's and Google's notification services, the battery and settings on each device, and whether the person is awake and holding their phone.

We do not promise that a message will be delivered, that it will be delivered within any particular time, or that anyone will respond to it. GoButtons is not a medical device, a monitoring service, or a substitute for care, supervision or an alarm system.

What the service is

One device shows a few large buttons. Pressing a button records a message and notifies the people connected to it. Those people can reply or clear the message. We use two words for the two sides throughout the product:

Adding a station or a person produces a twelve-digit code, which you pass to whoever is holding that device. The code can be used once and stops working after seven days. If a device is lost or replaced, you issue a new code and the station keeps its name, its buttons and everyone it reaches.

Until it is used, that code will connect a device to your account, so treat an unused one the way you would treat a door key. Nothing on the station itself can be changed from the station — the buttons are set by you and by the people you have added.

Your account

You need to be at least 18 to buy a subscription and hold the account. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account.

The people you add can see the presses from your stations, reply to them, and change the buttons on them. Add people you would trust with that, because we cannot tell from our side whether the person you added is the person you meant.

What it costs, and who takes the payment

GoButtons is $9.99 per month, which covers one station and one person besides you. Extra stations are $2.99 each per month and extra people are $4.99 each per month. Prices are in US dollars. Tax is added where it applies, based on where you are.

There is a two-week free trial and it does not ask for a card. If you do nothing, it simply ends — see “If your subscription ends” below for exactly what happens.

Payments are handled by Paddle, not by us. Paddle.com Market Limited is the merchant of record for every purchase: they take the payment, they issue the invoice, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside these terms. We never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops the next payment rather than clawing back the current period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

We may change prices. If we change the price of something you are already subscribed to, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not want to continue at the new price.

If your subscription ends

A lapse never silences a press. If a payment fails, or a trial ends, or you cancel, your stations keep working. Each one falls back to a single I need help button, which still notifies you exactly as before.

You lose the extra stations and extra people you were paying for, and the ability to configure several buttons. You do not lose the ability to ask for help. We designed it this way on purpose: somebody's way of asking for help should not depend on whether a card expired.

What you write in it

Button labels and the messages they send are yours. We do not claim ownership of them. We store them so the product can work, and we handle them as described in the Privacy Policy.

Do not use GoButtons to:

Setting up a station for somebody who cannot meaningfully agree to it — because of age, capacity, or because they simply do not know it is there — is your responsibility to get right. The product cannot tell the difference between care and surveillance, and we are trusting you to.

Availability

We do not promise the service will be available without interruption. We will take it down for maintenance sometimes, and it will occasionally break without us intending it to. There is no uptime guarantee and no service credit.

Parts of the product depend on services we do not run — notably Apple's and Google's push notification systems. When those fail, presses may not reach anybody, and we may not know.

Note that a web browser is not a reliable place to receive presses. An open tab shows updates as they happen; a closed tab alerts nobody. Use the app on a phone or tablet if you need to be told.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and, if you want, deleting your account. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we are legally required to close, or that is being used in a way that endangers somebody. Where we can do so safely and lawfully, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that: GoButtons is provided as it is, and we do not give warranties that it will meet your needs, that it will be uninterrupted, or that a message will arrive. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

This matters most where the product is used to ask for help, so we will say it directly rather than leave it to the paragraph above: do not use GoButtons as the only way somebody can summon assistance.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always says when the current version started applying. Continuing to use GoButtons after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer somewhere with laws that give you rights you cannot sign away, this does not take those rights from you.
