Refund Policy
How to cancel, when we give money back, and what happens to your stations if you stop paying.
In effect from 27 August 2026.
The short version
Cancel whenever you like, from your account. If you paid and GoButtons was not what you needed, email us within 30 days and we will refund you. And whatever happens with the money, your stations keep working — see the last section.
The free trial
GoButtons starts with a two-week free trial and it does not ask for a card. Nothing is charged during it, so there is nothing to refund. If you do not want to continue, do nothing and it simply ends.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not end the month you have already paid for, and you keep everything you are paying for until that period runs out.
We do not need a reason and we will not put you through a retention conversation to do it. If you want to tell us what went wrong we would genuinely like to know, but it is not a condition.
Refunds
If you email us within 30 days of a payment and GoButtons was not right for you, we will refund that payment in full. You do not need to justify it.
After that window, the general rule is that we do not refund past months. Two exceptions:
- We got it wrong. If you were charged for something you cancelled, charged twice, or charged the wrong amount, tell us and we will put it right however long ago it happened.
- It did not work and we could not fix it. If a fault on our side stopped GoButtons doing its job for a meaningful stretch, ask. We would rather refund you than have you paying for something that was not working.
We do not refund part-months when you cancel mid-cycle, because you keep the service until the period ends.
How to ask
Email hello@gobuttons.app from the address on the account. Tell us which payment, and roughly what went wrong if you want to. We aim to answer within a few working days.
Payments are taken by Paddle, who are the merchant of record for GoButtons, so the refund itself is processed by them and appears on the card or account you paid from. It usually takes a few working days to show up, depending on your bank. You can also contact Paddle directly about a charge, and their buyer terms apply alongside this policy.
Your legal rights
This policy is in addition to whatever rights the law gives you where you live, and it does not replace them. In particular, consumers in the UK and the European Economic Area normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online. Nothing here takes that away.
What stopping payment does not do
It does not switch off the buttons. If you cancel, ask for a refund, let the trial end, or a payment simply fails, every station you have set up keeps working. Each one falls back to a single I need help button, which still reaches you exactly as before.
What you lose is the paid capacity: extra stations, extra people, and several buttons per station. What you do not lose is somebody's ability to ask for help. We built it that way on purpose, and it applies to a refund exactly as much as to an expired card.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page. The version that applies to a payment is the one published when the payment was taken, and the date at the top says when the current version started applying.
